Beschreibung

Custom-made field-gray gabardine jacket with a dark green collar and gold buttons. The green silk lining has a sidearm loop, and the inside pocket features a tailor's label from Keller, Berlin, with the name "Dr. Erich Köhler" from 1944. Crimson collar tabs with gold-colored Larsen cello embroidery, sewn-on shoulder boards made of silver-gold (cello) general braid with an applied snake and crimson lining, missing rank pip, a gold-yellow embroidered breast eagle on a dark green background, and medal loops. Until the introduction of insignia in the crimson, the General Veterinarians wore the "standard" red general insignia. Erich Köhler (1885–1955): 1900 veterinarian, 1904 one-year volunteer, 1913 senior veterinarian, 1920 staff veterinarian in the 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1927 senior staff veterinarian at the Dresden Infantry School, 1939 general veterinarian, 1942 general staff veterinarian.
