Black lacquered leather body, front visor with green underlay, rear visor with red underlay; gilt: cross spike base & star studs, rear spine, fluted spike and front squared visor trim; gilt officer front plate of a twelve-pointed star with the Mecklenburg-Schwerin coat of arms encircled by a laurel wreath and topped with a crown, attached by two screw posts and one splinta; gold rounded chin scales with rosette side posts; Imperial Officer and Mecklenburg cockades; tan leather sweatband and white silk lining.
