The crossguards are silvered and display the raised oak leaf and acorn pattern characteristic of Eickhorn manufacture. Leaf veining shows clear hand finishing, while the acorn caps exhibit light checkering. The guards are of the later production type, cast with slightly less depth than early examples. Factory blackening remains in the recessed backgrounds, and the surfaces show an even patina. The tang nut is silvered with a steel base. Internal numbering is absent, consistent with later production. The grip is a standard SA type with the higher center ridge typical of the period. The SA runic emblem is set precisely in the grip and retains intact enamel. The grip eagle is the later zinc type with the slightly upward-pointing beak form. The grip fits the crossguards without gaps. The scabbard shell is straight and covered in original leather. The Moroccan leather covering remains intact and is composed of four sections—two on the obverse and two on the reverse—fitted to the center ramp and the upper and lower mounts. The mounts retain silvered surfaces over a steel base. Both mounts display patterned border lines with original factory darkening preserved in the recesses. The center ramp is the later narrow type, secured by a single side screw. Screws are dome-headed, silver-plated over steel, and unturned. The chain consists of rectangular silvered links with raised swastikas in the center. Each link incorporates end appendages with holes for oval connecting loops. The upper chain section contains five swastika links and the lower section seven. Links attaching to the clip and scabbard mounts have a single end hole for the connecting ring. Both chain sections attach to the SA Leader clip assembly bearing a large central SA rune. Factory darkening remains in the background around the rune. A snap clip is mounted on the reverse (exhibits corrision and spring is broke). The clip shows minor lifting of the plating at the upper area and on the reverse. Reverse sides of the chain links retain silvered surfaces with matching patina. The Damascus blade exhibits the characteristic “maiden hair” pattern associated with these examples. The obverse bears the raised motto “Alles für Deutschland,” flanked by raised oak leaf sprigs. Gilding to the motto and decoration remains intact. The reverse blade surface is similar in preservation. The tang is stamped with the letter “D”; earlier examples are typically stamped “DAMAST.” The ricasso bears the post-1941 trademark of Carl Eickhorn: a squirrel looking over its shoulder above the inscription “Original / Eickhorn / Solingen.” Gilding to the trademark remains largely intact. The blade shoulders align with the contour of the lower crossguard. Length ca 37cm.
