Cap body in red wool, black velvet cap band, red piping, celleon chin cords with alternating dark blue cords attached by two gilt finish pebbled buttons. Silver-finish metal eagle and winged wreath, cockade with red cloth insert. Black lacquered visor with brown, checkered underside. Orange-brown oilcloth lining, moisture shield intact with manufacturer mark “Hermann Naubert Erfurt” and size “59” underneath.
