Hand-hammered iron goblet of multi-piece construction. Goblet features two eagles in aerial combat with one eagle victorious at centre. Award date engraved above “Abwehrschlacht-Flandern 23.9.1917.”, recipient name below “Oberleutnant Falke Fuhrer d. Kampfstaffel 24. K.G.IV. O.H.L.”. Lower base with raised lettering “DEM SIEGER IM LUFTKAMPF”, supported by four round balls. Underside of base with raised Prussian Eagle seal “Chef des Feldflugwesens”. Carved wooden base for display. Goblet size ca. 19.5cm height x 9.5cm width, base size ca. 8.5cm height x 11.5cm width.
