Black lacquered leather body, front and rear visor; gilt: round spike base, stars, rear spine, spike and front visor trim; gilt officer front plate of Prussian Eagle with the addition of a silver eight-pointed star and Saxon crest and reserve cross, attached by two screw posts; gilt flat chin scales with rosette side posts; Officer Imperial and Saxe-Coburg and Gotha cockades; brown leather lining.
