Black lacquered leather body front and rear visor; gilt: round spike base, studs (one repaired), rear spine, spike and front visor trim; gilt officer front plate of Mecklenburg star with silver coat of arms and small Beamte symbol, attached by two loops with leather inserts; gilt flat chin scales with rosette side posts; enlisted man Imperial and Mecklenburg cockades; tan brown leather sweatband, green silk lining.
