Description

Slightly curved wedge-section blade (showing significant pitting and nicks in places) with a double-edged point aligned with the spine; marked “SS” at the ricasso on the obverse side. Brass cruciform hilt featuring a slightly S-shaped crossguard and pommel cap; brown leather-covered grip (showing signs of rubbing). Black-lacquered leather scabbard (shrunken, rubbed, and with surface cracking; stitching partially open) with integral brass fittings and a heart-shaped stud. Minor damage in places; shows signs of use and age. Length 66.5 cm.
