Description

Elaborate collector's replica. Straight, sharp blade (pitted, notched) of biconvex cross-section, unmarked, double-edged central point. Brass basket hilt with thumb ring, smooth pommel cap and knuckle guard, tthe latter bears the relief-molded royal cipher "MT" beneath a crown (Maria Theresa, 1740–1780). Grip wrapped in black-brown leather (rubbed, with small areas of loss). Signs of use and age. Length 108.5 cm.
