Description

Bavarian lion holding an escutcheon, delicately crafted in red gold with an eyelet and ring on top. The escutcheon (the fixtures with old repair, partly loose) with engraved Bavarian coat of arms in the form used from 1835 onwards. Oval seal surface of blue lapis lazuli with cut mirror monogram "L". Height 26 mm, dimensions of seal surface 15 x 10 mm. Overall weight 2.78 g. Very fine craftsmanship.
