Description

Large, black and white, three-quarter portrait photograph in a dark, embellished gown, her hands holding a fan in front of her, the atelier signature "Adèle Graben 19. Wien." in red at the bottom right. Large photograph on cardboard (extra cardboard backing subsequently added for reinforcement). Water spots, drip marks, a small defect on the edge, tears, creases, retouching. Dimensions 130 x 88 cm. Rare, large-format photograph of the standard of a court photographer. Of the utmost rarity, formerly from the Wittelsbach estate.
