Octagonal to round barrel, lightly swamped. Barrel length 320 mm, smooth bore, calibre 18 mm. On the rear barrel top a hard to read maker's mark, most likely "Zuloaga/Eibar". Ahead of maker's mark the engraved herald of Castilia-Leon and the name of the military unit, the "REGIMto DE CABALLa DE VOLVNT". The underside of the barrel marked "1793", acceptance marks "crown/J" and "53". The breechplug also marked "53" (assembly number). Unknown mark "MI". The barrel surface pitted. Iron Miquelet lock with acceptance mark "crown/V", the inside marked "EQVREN" (probably "Eguren/Eibar"). Brass furniture, the lock platemarked "E.D.C.A.C. 2.IV. 6o", belt hook missing, the respective opening closed at the time. Walnut full stock with signs of wear. An old repair under the lock. To the left of the trigger guard marked "AND" (repair mark?). The right hand side of the grip with marking "XIMX". The escutcheon with the emblem of Castilia-Leon. Original ramrod with brass tip. Mechanically sound. Length circa 50 cm. Condition: III
