Description

Black lacquered leather skull (slightly sunken, craquelures, pressure marks) with angular front visor and silvered/gilt mountings of brass and silvered nickel silver. Screw-mounted emblem shaped as the crowned Württemberg coat of arms. Cruciform base plate with four star screws, bead-and-reel frieze and smooth screw spike. Convex, leather-backed chin-scales on push-through rosettes, two cockades of lacquered sheet metal. Ochre-coloured silk lining (stained), brown leather sweatband, red and green lined visors (rear visor seam half open). Partially damaged, distinct Signs of age and wear.
