Description
Sturdy, single-edged blade, lavishly decorated on both sides. Lavish relief-decorated knuckle-bow hilt of White non-magnetic metal with lion's head pommel and staghorn grip, on the obverse the appliquéd mirror cipher “L” under crown, shell guard with recumbent pair of stags. Black leather scabbard with en suite decorated White mountings, on the locket the signature “Johann Stroblberger Carlsthor Munich”. Length with scabbard 82 cm. In a wooden casket (slightly knocked, keys missing) with glazed lidded top and metal plaque of the German Jagd- und Fischereimuseum Munich, dimensions 94.5 x 26 x 9 cm.
