Description

The wooden body entirely veneered in amber. On four feet. The rectangular body with flattened corners. The pedestal with a pull-out drawer and spherical amber knob. Extending up into the retracted corpus with spiral columns in the corners. All sides inset with large amber plaques. Domed, press-in lid with a large amber knob. The interior compartment lined in fabric. One corner of the lid knocked (glued). One foot broken in several places (enclosed separately). Dimensions 29 x 28.5 x 21.5 cm. Total weight: 4048 g. The amber casket wrought with great craftsmanship.

The auction starts on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 10 am (CEST) with Lot no. 001 - 861 and continues on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 10 am (CEST) with Lot no. 862 - 1172. The pre-sale view will take place from May 12 - May 15 2026 in our auction rooms at Bretonischer Ring 3 in 85630 Grasbrunn / Munich from 11 am to 5 pm (CEST).
