Description
Carved ivory. Rectangular, figurative scene of a battle in high relief, depicting two horsemen with lances and numerous combatants, including women and children. The individual figures shown in meticulous detail. One corner glued, one shield knocked, a few minor defects, overall in good condition. In a partially gilt wooden frame with a velvet insert. Dimensions of the relief 9.5 x 21.5 cm and 29.5 x 41.5 cm. Includes a CITES certificate dated June 2024.Attention: This lot can only be shipped within the European Union.
