Description

Cal. .44(BlackPowder), SN. 101519, numbers not matching. Barrel length 8", slightly frosted bore. Six shots. German-silver front sight. Barrel, frame, grip straps and cylinder unmarked. Blued, except trigger guard. Smooth walnut grips with several notches on the lower edge. Comes with Colt factory letter.  This specific gun is described in detail in Charles W. Pate's book "The Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver", page 234.
