Description
Fine bronze casting, partly chased with dark-green patina. On stepped and profited serpentine base. Small profiled bronze pedestal, on top of it head of the zephyr as personification of the messenger of spring, from whose mouth the west wind flows. On it the standing Mercury with his typical attributes such as winged helmet and ankles as well as Caduceus, holding a torch in the right hand. Slight signs of age and wear. Patina slightly rubbed. Mounted as a lamp. Electrification not tested. Height 101 cm.Typical Grand Tour object in very nice condition with wonderfully grown patina.Condition: II + Questions about the lot?
