Cal. .36 BlackPowder, SN. 816 USG, octagonal 7½" barrel with bright bore. Six shots. On the barrel top New York company address, on the left marked "Ulysses S. Grant Commemorative - Nineteen Seventy One". Very good original finish on barrel and cylinder, roll-engraved with naval engagement scene. Loading lever, frame and hammer colour case hardened. Grip straps and trigger guard silver plated. Smooth walnut grips. Mechanically sound. Length circa 24 cm.In dark walnut case with commemorative markings on the lid. The lid lined in blue velvet, the case in baize. Brass bullet mould, powder flask, cap box and tools. Key unfortunately missing. Dimensions 36 x 16 x 6 cm.
