Description
Light-colored wooden box with phosphated metal parts; the lock features a matching-numbered plate and key (“8410”); olive-drab linen carrying handle; and a plate bearing the serial number “M 8410” in black. The lid is attached via an iron hinge and bears an incomplete stamp reading “Marineoberkommando in Norwegen – Druckschriftenverwaltung” (Naval High Command in Norway – Publications Administration), as well as an obliterated stamp reading “... Ostsee” (... Baltic Sea). The eight internal wooden blocks and the corresponding counter-blocks designed to hold the six rotor wheels are missing. Dimensions: 26 x 13 x 13 cm.
