Description
Brown fabric backing (tears), featuring lavish coloured silk embroidery of the imperial eagle with the imperial flag, a commemorative image of the gunboat S.M.S. Iltis, a sailor's photograph and the inscription “Zur Erinnerung an meine Reisen - China Japan 1907 1909 Franz Bub”, under plexiglass, in a later oak frame, frame dimensions ca. 63.5 x 55 cm. Together with a hand-carved sculpture of an eagle in brown-stained oak (minor losses and cracks), total height 41 cm.
