Description

Slightly curved single-edged blade, nickel-plated, both sides richly etched with decorative motifs, including the Baden emblem below a crown, at the base the Solingen manufacturer's mark “W.K. & C” below a king's head and knight's helmet. Nickel-plated iron knuckle-bow hilt, fish-scale tang with wire wrapping. Nickel-plated iron scabbard (black lacquer retouched, rubbed). Signs of use and age. Length 99 cm. Rare. The armament of the Grand Duchy of Baden was also modelled on Austrian patterns.
