Description

Sturdy, slightly curved, single-edged blade (slightly stained, with occasional nicks), stamped at the ricasso “... Weyersberg”. Iron basket hilt with eight holes in the guard plate, a sword-knot slot, a black leather-covered grip, and an intact leather finger loop. The front of the guard plate bears the unit mark “20 D. 3. 149”. Iron scabbard with two movable suspension rings. Hilt and scabbard rusty. Signs of use and age. Length 105 cm. Rare sabre after an Austrian model.
