Description

One-piece helmet shell (showing surface rust) with a butt-soldered rim; retaining strap with felt padding riveted at the crown; liner with a black ersatz material sweatband and a chin strap (damaged) attached to riveted brackets. No maker's stamp visible. The side bears typical veteran-applied painting featuring the “Rolling W” emblem of the 89th ID.
