Description

Watercolour on white-primed wooden panel, unsigned. Military encampment of a European army with depiction of horseshoeing, a drummer, aiming a cannon and soldier punishment. Movable arms made of paper. Mechanism in the reverse wooden case completely missing, green-gold profile frame loosely laid on. Paint surface somewhat spotted, minor losses. Partially slightly damaged, Signs of age. Dimensions 38 x 43 x 9 cm. Graceful depiction of secular camp scenes from everyday soldier life.
