Description
Sturdy, slightly curved single-edged blade (stained, pitted near the point) with fuller on both sides, an etched anchor symbol on the quarte side (over-polished in areas), the etching of the manufacory Chatellerault 1846 on the spine (over-polished in areas). Blackened iron basket hilt (traces of rust), iron octagonal grip. Leather scabbard (craquelures, rubbed, minor surface flaws and cracks) with brass fittings. Slightly damaged in places, Signs of age and use. Length 84 cm.352154
