Description

In schwarzer Tinte auf Bogen Papier (Maße 25 x 20 cm) verfasst. Eugène Napoleon bittet einen "Major Général", dem Colonel Joannis die Versetzung in den Ruhestand zu gewähren, "Il pourrais passer dans le Commandement de place". Eigenhändige Unterschrift "Eugene Napoleon". Gefaltet. Am Oberrand Tinteninschrift wohl des Generalmajors "Décret du 27 Juillet - Exécuté le même jour", am Unterrand in Bleistift von Sammlerhand bezeichnet "Beauharnais, Eugène". Unter Glas und neuzeitlich gerahmt. Eugène de Beauharnais, Adoptivsohn Napoleons, kämpfte ab 1809 gegen die in Italien einmarschierenden österreichischen Truppen, die er in der Schlacht bei Raab im Juni 1809 bezwang. Anschließend warf er den Aufstand in Tirol nieder und ließ Andreas Hofer im Februar 1810 in Mantua erschießen.
