Description
Depot piece. High steel skull (pitted, a few small holes) with ridged front visor and a rib on the back, the trim, rivets and fittings all made of brass (some traces of solder). Screw-mounted outline of an eagle with Vaterland banner (double perforation) on the front. Removable steel spike on a pointed oval, brass base with four ball-head screws. Convex chinscales with leather underlay on screw-mounted geometric rosettes. The large state cockade in lacquered sheet iron at the side. Black leather liner (scuffed, minor tears, one old repair). The unit stamp "KR 4 2 E" on the underside of the front visor rail and "2 E" on the rear visor rail. Slightly damaged in places, minor old repairs, signs of wear and age.Condition: II - III Questions about the lot?
