Description

Narrow thrusting blade with a flattened medial ridge, narrow fullers on both sides of the upper third, the illegible signature "CASPAR..." stamped in the fuller. The sturdy ricasso with a mark in the shape of a shield stamped on both sides. Delicately wrought hilt of ridged bars with extended, straight quillons, one bar formed into a volute on the obverse. The original octagonal grip with copper wire winding and brass Turk's heads. Oval pommel with lateral ridges and a distinct, riveted finial. Length 110 cm.
