Description

Fullered, thrusting blade of triangular section, the root etched with fine ornaments. With a sun face and a trophy bundle. Double-sided guard plate with finely chased portrait medallions amidst leafy vines on a gold-inlaid background. The base of the quillons carved on both sides with portrait heads in half relief, the arm of the quillons extending into a fully sculptured hound's head. Original grip with ostentatious silver wire winding and Turk's heads. Both sides of the pommel chiselled with portrait heads in half relief, delicate decorative tendrils on the sides. Length 101 cm.
