Description

The narrow, double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section, light pitting on the lower half. The upper third with a double fuller on both sides, the signature "HEINRICH PEHTTERHH" struck on both sides in the style of the Toledo signatures. A "P" mark below a crown stamped twice on each side of the double-fullered ricasso. Delicately wrought iron knuckle-bow hilt with extended, straight quillons. Pas d'âne with openwork guard plate on the obverse, an openwork plaque integrated into the hilt on the opposite side. The original grip spirally fluted, with fine copper wire winding and Turk's heads. Barrel-shaped pommel with offset riveted button. Length 121 cm.
