Sturdy blade of flattened diamond section with narrow fullers on both sides of the upper half. Iron hilt with remnants of tin plating and openwork rain chape. The arms of the quillons with incised ornamentation and openworked ends, curving strongly towards the blade. Large guard disc with reinforced edge and point perforations. Original grip with cord winding covered in leather (minor defects), Turk's heads of iron wire. Octagonal, pear-shaped pommel with a distinct, riveted finial. The surfaces with a dark age patina, some spots in need of cleaning. Length 128 cm. Rare Austrian cavalry weapon from the period of the Turkish Wars.
