Description

Slightly curved, European, 18th century single-edged blade. Traces of an etching, only faintly visible and barely recognisable, on both sides at the root of the blade. Silver-mounted grip in the Circassian tradition with characteristic curved pommel, slightly loose. The homogeneously and lavishly engraved, nielloed and partially gilt scabbard in silver sheet, embellished with geometric fields, lozenges, latticework and intricate vegetable ornaments, the locket loose. A cartouche with an Arabic inscription on the back. Length 93 cm.
