Description

Aus Messing gegossene, fein nachbearbeitete Figur eines halb sitzenden Braunbärs. Auf der oktagonalen Plinthe Marke "GUSS BARTH" sowie Signatur "S [...?]liepstein". Stellenweise ganz leicht bestoßen. Aufgestellt auf schlichten Sockel aus lackiertem Holz. Höhe 13,5 cm. Gerhard Schliepstein (1886 - 1963) war ein deutscher Bildhauer und Porzellan-Modelleur. Als Porzellan-Designer entwarf er hauptsächlich für KPM und Rosenthal, während das bildhauerische Œuvre insbesondere durch Tiermotive dominiert wird.
