Description

Two-stage blued barrel, octagonal then round, with smooth bore in 17.1 mm calibre. An ornamental band engraved at the breech, before which the mark "AC", the top of the barrel inscribed "Gardes du corps du roi" and inlaid in gold. The lock plate of the flintlock domed at the back, stamped "Maubeuge Manuf. Royale" in front of the cock. Brass powder pan. The cocking notch needs adjusting. Walnut full stock with brass furniture. The butt cap carved in high relief with the crowned Bourbon fleurs-de-lys in a laurel wreath. Iron screws with decorative engraving. Associated iron ramrod with internal thread. Length 35.5 cm.
