Description

Öl auf Leinwand. Ruhige, idyllische Landschaft an einem sonnigen Sommertag. Auf einem Hügel mit einer teils in den Bäumen versteckten Kirche hütet ein Hirte seine Schafherde. Rechts unten signiert "Rob. Assmus Mchn". Im schweren, prachtvoll rocaillenstuckierten Rahmen mit starkem Profil und ausladend betonten Ecken. Bildmaße 65 x 45, Maße mit Rahmen 90 x 70 cm. Robert Assmus (1837 - 1904) war ein deutscher Landschaftsmaler. Er war ein produktiver Illustrator für "Die Gartenlaube" sowie die" Illustrirte Zeitung".
