Seven lined pages size A4, each folded in the middle, the edges partly knocked, the top with perforation where the sheets were torn from a notepad, each with traces of a paperclip on the upper left, the first and last page with additional traces of rust from the clip. All pages with handwritten notes by Hitler in pencil, on pages three and four some parts underlined and some highlighted in red indelible pencil. On the upper right pencil pagination in Hitler’s own hand.Under the headings (tr.) "Salute" and (tr.) "Memories of the town" Hitler starts by looking back to the time before the establishment of the local group, (tr.) "1st Meeting – convention on the merger of the German Socialist Party with the National Socialist Party – Dr. Dickel (Work Community) – attempts at that time: all in vain"; he calls the parties (tr.) "two worlds" that were (tr.) "self-contained – hostile to each other", (tr.) "either unite – or eternal struggle – old German passion". But also (tr.) "The whole of Europe" was (tr.) "facing a civil war – indeed, the whole world", (tr.) "how could the struggle in Germany be avoided? Not by the old parties, only by a new party – a new idea and its organisations." He calls the NSDAP a (tr.) "party of discipline" that today was (tr.) "faced with major challenges", elaborates on the relationship between (tr.) "party – Wehrmacht – economy" and the (tr.) "four-year plan", is pleased to (tr.) "meet the old party members" and closes with (tr.) "through us
Germany will become great again".
Of great interest is Hitler’s digression to the early days; the DSP (German Socialist Party) established in 1920 in Hanover on a national level was supposed to be united with the NSDAP and the Austrian National Socialists to form the DNSP in March 1921, but this was vetoed by Hitler. Consequently, Julius Streicher, the driving force of the DSP, sought an alliance with the "Deutsche Werkgemeinschaft" (German Work Community) established by the Augsburg senior teacher (Studienrat) Otto Dickel and until 1923 had more members in the Augsburg region than the NSDAP.
