Description

Graue Aquarell- und Deckfarbe auf cremefarbenem Papier, rechts unten handschriftlich signiert "Willy Stöwer 1914". Am Himmel zwei Doppeldecker, unten U-Boote (Sehrohre) in stürmischer See, im Hintergrund Felsen und Rauch. Unter Passepartout und Glas, in späterem Profilrahmen, die Papprückseite später beschriftet. Partiell leicht beschädigt, Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Rahmenmaße 61,5 x 50,5 cm. Kaiser Wilhelm II. war ein Förderer Stöwers und besaß mehrere seiner Werke. Außerdem begleitete Stöwer den Kaiser auf Schiffsreisen. Meisterhaftes eigenhändiges Original.
