The stiff cork body covered in sand-coloured cotton twill, painted white, a total of four air vents on the sides, front visor and long rear visor. A national eagle in embossed, gilt, non-ferrous metal appliquéd on the front and fixed with textile loops. Lined in fine, dark green cotton twill (stamped "1568 No"), ochre-coloured leather sweatband with embossed stamp "Ludwig Bortfeldt Bremen". The trim, cockade and chinstrap have been lost. Signs of age and wear. Extremely rare find.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
