Description
Depot piece of pressed field-grey felt, both visors and the lateral reinforcements of leather lacquered in field-grey, lining with flaps (worn) made of Ersatz material, matt brass fittings. Openwork imperial eagle fastened with pins in the version used for tropical helmets. Non-detachable spike with oblong ventilation holes on globular rivets. Brown leather chinstrap with brass fittings on button 91, on the right the iron imperial cockade. Worn, in good untouched original condition. Size 55. Very rare, a similar item can be seen in the reference book "Die Deutschen Kolonial- und Schutztruppen" (tr.
