Description
Silver-plated frame of thin sheet iron with inset black core, a vertical wire pin on the back. Width approx. 46 mm. This unpretentious award, similar to the Iron Cross, was conferred at the request of Friedrich Wilhelm III, yet never officially instituted. It was awarded to all members of the Russian guard troops for their vital contribution under heavy losses to the victory of the allies after the Battle of Kulm on 30 August 1813.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
