Description

Cal. 4 (Signal), SN. 2068, matching numbers. Barrel length 165 mm, bright bores. Top-break action, selector switch on the rear of the frame to fire left/right/both barrels. Proof marks Crown/BU. Luftwaffe contract number "FL 24483", production date 1937. On the right hand side of the frame maker's code "AM" for Menz of Suhl, below which the Luftwaffe acceptance mark Eagle/2 is located. Frame mounted safety marked "F(ire)" and "S(afe)". Most parts of Duraluminum, anodized black, the rear of the frame plum coloured. Small parts of steel. Original finish, some wear and finish loss. Two-piece mottled reddish-brown Bakelite grips in good condition, with a few scratches.
