Description
Cal. .45 ACP, SN. C 84064, good bore, slightly matte. Seven shots. Made in 1916. German proof marks. The left hand side of the slide with two-line markings "PATENTED APR. 20.1897. SEPT.9.1902, DEC. 19. 1905. FEB.14.1911. AUG 19.1913 / COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." with the Rampant Colt behind the rear of the slide serrations. The frame marked in cyrillic letters "ANGL ZAKAZY" (English order), since this batch of 51.000 commercial Colts (serial numbers C23000 to C89000) was ordered through the British Government. The right hand side of the slide marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 45", the frame "GOVERNMENT MODEL". Reblued, with some pinpricking on the rear strap. Dark, checkered walnut grips with traces of wear.
