Description

Octagonal, rifled barrel, the last few inches in the muzzle end round. Cal. 13.5 mm. Frosted bore, needs thorough cleaning. On top of the barrel a dovetailed front sight, notched rear sight. Modified percussion lock. Set trigger. Full stock, the fore-end with horn tip. Brass fittings. On the rear tang a base for a diopter, a bayonet lug on the muzzle end. Iron parts patinated, pitting around the nipple. The stock bumped, with moderate cracks near the lock plate and its opposite side. Length 106 cm.
This rifle was built in a military pattern and probably served in a "Standschützenkompanie", a sort of Austrian Home Guard.
