Description

Bust-length portrait in a black dress with a necklace; photograph dimensions 27.5 x 20.7 cm; signed by hand in ink (faint/difficult to read) "Karolina Gahr 1935" at the bottom right edge. In passepartout bearing the imprint of the Nuremberg photographer "Hagendyk" and a second signature, "Karolina Gahr 1935," in violet ink. Mounted in a protective folder with an exterior finish resembling watered silk rep. Dimensions 39.5 x 29.7 cm. Housed in a matching envelope with the company imprint "Brend'amour, Simhart & Co. - Graphische Kunstanstalt München Nymphenburgerstraße 20" and a handwritten address: "Frau Karolina Gahr - Goldschmiede Werkstätte - München Mariannenstr. 3". Extremely rare photograph.
