Description
Body and attached visors made of patent leather (with a crackle finish); two ventilation holes on each side; lid made of vulcanized fiber (crackle finish on the outside, lacquered leather-brown on the inside). Attached via screws is a police star made of stamped brass, featuring a lacquered Prussian eagle in the center. A light-metal field badge in black and white (Prussia) is inserted at the top; the reverse bears the manufacturer's mark “F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid.” Leather chin strap attached to a “Model 91” button. Good light-brown leather tab liner (stained). Minor localized damage; shows signs of wear and age.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
