Description

Issue piece. One-piece body made of field-grey pressed felt. Fittings of grey-painted sheet iron. Prussian eagle emblem on the front (double-hole mounting), secured by leather wedges. Top plate attached with four round-head split pins, surmounted by the ball finial with bayonet-style locking mechanism. Leather chin strap with yellow fittings attached to a "Model 91" iron stud; both cockades made of painted sheet iron. Laced black leather liner (shows signs of rubbing). Stamp "FAR ... 1915" on the rear visor. Minor localized damage; signs of age. Rare substitute-material helmet.

The auction starts on Tuesday, November 24, 2026 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 6001 - 7079 and continues on Wednesday, November 25 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 7080 - 7502. The pre-sale view will take place from November 9 - November 13, 2026 in our auction rooms at Bretonischer Ring 3 in 85630 Grasbrunn / Munich from 11 am to 5 pm (CET).
