Description

Tombac skull, the tiered front visor with green leather underlay, the rear visor with black velvet underlay. Silver parade eagle with gilt crown, attached by means of two round-head screws and one large brass wing nut. Silver edge mount. Silver officer's emblem with a guard star and enamelled Order of the Black Eagle in the centre, attached by two screw bolts. Gilt convex chinscales with gilt trefoil rosettes and side posts. National and Prussian cockades in officer's issue. Tan leather sweatband, cream silk lining. Uncleaned, with patina/traces of soot, large size.
