Description

Sturdy black leather body (re-blacked, scuffed), sturdy leather visors, brass fittings. Eagle emblem attached via screw-posts with wing nuts. Leather chin strap with hook attachment. An enlisted men field badge, a later addition, is inserted at the top (guide seam inside the body is torn). Good leather tab liner. Some minor damage; signs of wear and age. Well-preserved considering its age. The hook attachment was only replaced by buttons for securing the chin strap following the regulation of April 13, 1892.

The auction starts on Tuesday, November 24, 2026 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 6001 - 7079 and continues on Wednesday, November 25 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 7080 - 7502. The pre-sale view will take place from November 9 - November 13, 2026 in our auction rooms at Bretonischer Ring 3 in 85630 Grasbrunn / Munich from 11 am to 5 pm (CET). Please make an appointment if possible to avoid waiting times.
