Description

Private purchase piece. Nickel-plated, single-edged blade with double fullers on both sides (slightly spotted), the Solingen manufacturer's stamp “W.K & C” below a king's head and knight's helmet struck at the root, gilt brass knuckle-bow hilt with Mecklenburg emblem on the folding guard plate, synthetic fish-scale grip, triple wire winding (incomplete), gilt appliquéd “FF” below crown (Friedrich Franz), leather finger strap (torn). Black re-lacquered steel scabbard (rubbed, dents) with two movable suspension rings. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age. Length 100.5 cm. Very rare.
